The Governor's Transportation Bond Bill is a great start, but it needs more funding for roads and bridges to eliminate bottlenecks and chokepoints.
90% of daily trips by Massachusetts residents are over roads and bridges. Increased funding for and use of public transportation will help, but if successful our road and bridges will still carry 80% or more of daily trips.

We are past the time for most studies and roundtables, it is now the time to actually impliment real solutions and fix the traffic congestion problem.
Managed lanes use restrictions or variable tolling to significantly improve traffic flow. Often, managed lanes can be implemented without the time and expense of contructing new lanes. Managed lanes are so successful that they are being used in 15 states.
